Nipikiskwasīwan National Summit 2026 is an Indigenous-led gathering focused on strengthening the systems that hold our children, youth, families, and Nations. Join us April 8–9, 2026 at the Edmonton EXPO Centre for two transformative days of ceremony, relationship, and action.

Our Guiding Vision
The Home Fire is the centre of safety, belonging, and shared responsibility. Each Summit stream is a log on this fire necessary to keep the whole system burning strong. This gathering brings together Nations, DFNAs, Tribal Councils, Indigenous child and family service agencies, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, frontline staff, caregivers, youth workers, executive leaders, policy-makers, and community partners.
Over two days, we share Nation-led approaches, land-based and culturally grounded models, and practical tools for implementing C-92, supporting high-risk youth, strengthening prevention and kinship pathways, caring for the Indigenous workforce, and building sustainable funding and governance around Indigenous children and families.
